Flower Types

The wide variety of different flower types is due to the diversity in geographic and climatic conditions. As wild flowers grow in their natural habitat, regenerate naturally and have not been planted or cultivated by anyone, some regions can boast of some particular flower types while the others cannot. There are many kinds of flower types in the wilderness. Some of them bloom in their individual season and wither away with the onset of a new season; however, others do bloom in more than one season or are perennials.

While all the flower types in nature are beautiful, their popularity highly depends on their distinctive characteristics, or some cultural traits belonging to the given region. There are many magical and mysterious stories associated with wild flowers, generated by word of mouth, telling tales of black magic, passion, love, magical and curative brews and potions. Among the most popular wild flowers, we can mention the Poppy, Bluebell, Orchids, Snapdragon, Forget-me-not, Daisy, Mint, Aster, Primrose, Wallflower and Zinnia.

People have always naturalized and cultivated different kind of flower types, either for their exquisite beauty or for the love of gardening. Although we can create beautiful wildflower arrangements, we usually think about cultivated flowers when visiting the florist.
